Bronagh & Darragh’s Lodge at Ashford Castle Wedding

Bronagh and Darragh celebrated their summer wedding with a ceremony at Ballintubber Abbey, followed by their reception at The Lodge at Ashford Castle. After a cloudy start, the weather cleared and gave everyone the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Cong and the Ashford Estate.

The morning preparations were relaxed and intimate, with Bronagh surrounded by her closest family and friends. Orla Duffy looked after her makeup, Dee Conroy styled her hair and Ardilaun Creations provided the floral arrangements.

After the ceremony, Collins Coffee Camp served coffee and snacks outside the abbey while guests spent time together. We then travelled with Bronagh and Darragh to the historic Monk’s Fishing House in Cong before taking a walk through the grounds of the Ashford Estate. These locations gave us a beautiful variety of natural footage without keeping the couple away from their guests for too long.

The celebrations continued outdoors at The Lodge at Ashford Castle, where guests enjoyed the summer weather and views across the estate. Bronagh added a personal touch to the reception with decorations she had created herself, while the chocolate fountain proved particularly popular with the guests.

From the ceremony at Ballintubber Abbey to the relaxed reception in Cong, Bronagh and Darragh’s wedding offered a wonderful mix of emotional moments, beautiful locations and time spent naturally with their guests. It was exactly the kind of day that works so well with my discreet, documentary approach to wedding videography.
