Aine & Mark’s Galway Bay Hotel Wedding

Aine and Mark celebrated their April wedding in County Galway, with their ceremony at Our Lady of Knock Church and their reception at Galway Bay Hotel. Despite heavy rain that morning, the weather cleared after the ceremony and gave us time to visit several meaningful locations around Galway.

The day began at Aine’s family home in Lackagh More, where she prepared for the ceremony with her family and bridal party. Heavy rain continued throughout the morning, but the atmosphere inside remained relaxed and full of anticipation.

Aine and Mark’s ceremony took place at Our Lady of Knock Church. Friends and family performed the ceremony music, adding a particularly personal element as the couple exchanged their vows in front of the people closest to them.

The rain cleared shortly after the ceremony, allowing Aine and Mark to stop at Claregalway Abbey with their bridal party. The historic ruins and changing April weather created a dramatic setting, while the wind added plenty of natural movement to the footage.

We then continued into Galway City for a walk along Quay Street and a celebratory pint at Tigh Neachtain. The busy streets, colourful shopfronts and reactions from people passing by gave this part of the wedding film a lively and unmistakably Galway atmosphere.

The celebrations continued at Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill, overlooking Galway Bay. The evening included speeches, dinner and plenty of dancing with the couple’s family and friends, bringing a relaxed and energetic wedding day to a fitting close.

Aine and Mark’s wedding brought together several very different Galway locations, from the quiet surroundings of Claregalway Abbey to the energy of Quay Street and the coastline at Salthill. The changing weather became part of the story and helped create a wedding film that feels natural, lively and personal to them.
